Meet Our Administration

  Kelle Ogilvie, Principal

I am honored to serve as the Principal of Legacy Elementary. A proud product of the Bossier Parish School system, I graduated from Airline High School, then attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches where I received my graduate and undergraduate degrees in Education.

Before coming to Legacy, I taught at Benton High School for nine years, then served as the high school ELA and Foreign Language Curriculum Coordinator for Bossier Parish for five years. I served as Assistant Principal at Legacy for three years before being named Principal.

We are proud of our positive school culture where students not only excel academically, but thrive in all areas of development.  By nurturing the whole child and building strong relationships, we are able to help students develop confidence and reach their full potential

I’m married to Blake Ogilvie, and we have two daughters, Jennings (a second grade student at Legacy) and Jemma (almost four years old). I am passionate about assisting teachers and children, and feel honored to work with our incredible staff, wonderful students, and supportive parents. I am proud to be a bear!

Assistant Principal, Megan Hembree

My name is Megan Hembree, and I am honored to serve as your assistant principal.  Legacy has always held a special place in my heart.  I was an original member of the first kindergarten team, and joining this amazing school once again feels like coming home.

During my 16 years in education, I have held many positions.  I have taught kindergarten, fifth grade, and sixth grade.  I also served as an instructional coach for the past three years.  Serving in this capacity gave me such an appreciation for the role everyone plays in making a school great for students.

On a personal note, I am married to my husband Chris, and we have three children, Ella, Lily, and Will.  I strive to be a leader that serves, inspires, and is constantly seeking opportunities to learn and grow. I am proud to be a Legacy Bear, and I look forward to an amazing year serving the entire Legacy community alongside Mrs. Ogilvie.
